Richard Young, studied electronics and communication while still in grade school. This desire was used to land his first job as an Engineer at ABC affiliate KAKE-TV Ch10 in Wichita. As he was starting this job he found that the US Army required his services as a Crew Chief and door gunner on a UH-1 Huey in the Viet Nam war where life expectancy was measured in weeks. Flying in helicopters reinforced his goal of becoming a pilot and at the age of 19 he acquired his Private Pilot License SEL, and this experience helped him land a job as an Air Crew Member in the Experimental Department at Beech Aircraft. With his background in TV it was not long until he was recruited to help with Corporate Film, Movies and eventually Video productions where he worked producing Documentaries, Engineering, Marketing, Training and Legal projects. His excellence of product was rewarded by winning several accolades for film and video productions with an unmatched 100% winning record on all legal cases he worked. It was not unusual for Richard to go to work in the morning and find himself a half a Continent away in the afternoon documenting a ‘Secret’ Aircraft First Flight while on special assignment with the Company’s CEO.
